Sometimes the cost of wedding photography can be high in price. Every bride wants that perfect picture that captures that special day, but can not afford to pay through the roof for it. Here are a few money saving tips when budgeting for wedding photography.
Advertising for the right person
An excellent place to advertise is at a local college or university They will have fresh skills and ideas when it comes to wedding photography, and they will cost a lot less.
Go digital
Go digital instead of getting prints. This keeps your hard earned money in your pocket. You can now choose this as an option because most photographers will offer you the idea. Get a CD rather then prints and proofs of all your pictures. After you receive your CD look at online photo developers to print to photos for you.
Create your own wedding album
A great way to personalize all your pages in your album is to try scrap booking. No one will know your wedding and guests like you do. This way you can go through all of your photos and reflect on the memories. You will enjoy creating your album and not only that but you will also save hundreds of dollars opposed to having your photographer design an album, and they may not include pictures that your friends sent you as well.
You can choose how long you need the photographer for
How long do you really need your photographer around you? Instead of having them come with you when you re getting your hair done, make up done, and dress sized just get them to come for the ceremony and a bit of the celebration afterwards. Your bridesmaids will be able to take the pictures of the preparation for you and you will be surprised how many other people will send you their copies as well.
21st Century – use disposables!
Having disposable cameras at the reception is also an excellent idea. After everything is said and done all you have to do is drop them off at a photo development outlet, then go through the ones you really like and make larger prints for frames around your house. You will probably end up getting a few funny photos but a lot of wonderful ones as well. This will also give you a wide variety of pictures because your guests will be taking pictures of each other and not just at the bride and groom. Get each table of guest to write on the camera who was taking the photos so you can add the detail into your album.

Wedding days are well known to be quite stressful. From when you wake up to when you crash down asleep you would have been on the go all day long.
Your once-in-a-life-time special day should be stress free. But if you want to experience this then you will need to plan very well. There is always so much to do on your actual wedding day so planning will make it flow better.
There is so much to do on your actual wedding day that a day in a busy office would be like taking a day off compared to your wedding day. Asking for support from everyone that you can will make your special day more special.
All the stress can be totally eased as long as you plan well and get lots of support from your family and friends and your wedding professionals.
Ten years ago Pre-Wedding photography started to become very popular in Singapore. The reason was that many couples simply found that their actual wedding day was too stressful and way too full.
Switched on wedding photographers started to offer pre-wedding photography packages so that not only could the stress be removed from the actual day, any risk with bad weather was removed and also then a wedding album was available at the reception.
Pre-wedding packages come in all shapes and sizes. Most of the packages offered will include both outdoor shots as well as studio shots. Simply ask your photographer what will be included in your package.
As well as ensuring you get a great set of pics for your album, pre-bridal photos mean that you have something special to show at your actual wedding to your guests, which is always nice.
Pre-wedding photography is catching on around the world now. It may not be called pre-bridal in other countries but the idea still exists. If your photographer has not suggested doing a pre-wedding shoot then ask them for a price as part of the overall wedding package. Booking the two together – pre and actual day photography will save you money for sure and will allow you to bargain a little.

The bride and groom are usually so busy on their wedding day that without photos to remind them, many of the days events would be forgotten. Because of this, the vast majority of couple arrange for a digital wedding photographer to be there for the most important part of the day.
Most wedding photographers have assistants so they can create a wedding album that will be memorable but if you want to take pictures of a friend’s wedding, who will help you?Fortunately for wedding photographers they can use an assistant to help them get the right shots but if you’re a friend taking pictures, then how do you take good shots of the day?If you want to take photographs of your friend’s or relations wedding then you will have to do it on your own because you won’t have an assistant like the professionals have. So, if you need some help for a wedding you are to attend and you are going to use a digital camera, then you may find some useful information in this article.
Many amateur photographers make the mistake of taking pictures with a boring background which is not something you want in a wedding photo. Often when there is a good background there are just too many people in the shot, so if this is the situation, just try and capture a nice head and shoulders shot of the couple.
Try to get guests that have spectacles on to either remove them or hold their head at an angle so that there isn’t a reflection obscuring their eyes. If there’s a couple or a group that you wish to include in the picture, you should use the zoom function in to get the ideal image but do not shoot against the light so that dark images appear.
Some of the best pictures you will take will be those where the subject(s) do not know the shot is being taken and the best way to do this is by using a zoom lens. You should be alert at all times when shooting digital wedding photography since you can seldom ask people to keep posing for you and the day is also about spontaneity.
The last thing you want to happen is for your digital camera to have half charged batteries and a memory card that is already half full as it will restrict how many shots you can take. A one gigabyte card should be the bare minimum you have if your camera is a six mega pixel model, a larger capacity if the camera has a higher mega pixel rating.
Always remember that the higher the resolution used, the larger the size of prints that can be made so always keep a secure copy of your work so you can re-use them in the future. You can do this by saving albums on your personal computer to free up the space on your memory card or burn them to a cd or dvd.

Today’s weddings celebrations are not complete without wedding favors on the table at the reception. These started out as small bags of sugared almonds and have grown into a huge variety of different and exciting gifts. Don’t be afraid, there are many companies offering a wide range of items, many that can be customised to you particular wedding, and choosing one couldn’t be easier. Below are a few of the popular ideas that you may like to consider, the final choice will be dictated by your wedding theme and your budget.
If you really cannot decide, you can always choose the easy wedding favor option of flowers, which can also decorate the reception at the same time. The big plus with this option is the ease and speed with which flowers can be organized. Red roses always look attractive and of course they don’t have to be wrapped like many other flowers. Placing the rose on the wedding reception table where the guest are seated is a nice touch and doesn’t need to be done until the last minute.
Although sweets may, at first, be seen as an easy wedding favor, it is immensely popular with almost three out of every four weddings using them. They are often placed in specially designed boxes which come in a variety of shapes and colours. Some people now use a much more convenient way to present sweets to their guests, by using large bowls filled with different types of confectionery as the centrepiece on each table. All you need to do after this is arrange for each wedding guest to have a small box where they can place their sweets. This could be called a self service gift because all you have to do is supply the sweets and an appropriate receptacle to place it in.
An alternative to using confectionery, is a picture frame which can double up as a place holder, just for the occasion. Although presentation is everything, there are ways around wrapping wedding favors and picture frames are an ideal example of how you can avoid this task. Almost all receptions have place names at the tables for the guests so this is an ideal way to present the frame without the need to spend time and more money on wrapping paper which, let’s face it, will only be discarded.
A drinks coaster can be a practical and useful wedding favor. You can get them in a wide variety of styles, even get messages on them, to remind your friends and family of the happy day. If you are having a themed wedding, this may be just the right finishing touch that you need.
To keep up with today’s eco-friendly attitudes, you can find a really good range of eco stuff from seed impregnated cards that you can plant to create a garden to ‘match books’ that have vegetable seeds in the head. When the flowers come up every year it will be a beautiful reminder of your wedding.
A quirky idea for your guests could be a bottle stopper. Don’t dismiss this as nowadays, everybody is aware of the number of units of alcohol that should be consumed. This means that a bottle of wine may not be consumed in one night, so your gift will be perfect.
For a truly personal wedding favor, you can hire a professional photographer to take a picture of each guest as they arrive at the reception. Then, have a printer and glossy paper so that you can give everybody a picture of themselves looking great. You may even be able to arrange to have a slide show of the pictures so that everybody can see each other in their beautiful wedding outfits.
